IMI staff are taking on the #BringItOn4Ben challenge to help raise money for the industry’s charity

We all need a little help every now and again, and when in things get tough industry charity BEN is there to offer assistance and help. But no charity can exist without the help of donations.

That’s why this year three brave members of the IMI staff are taking on the Virgin London Marathon as part of the #BringItOn4Ben campaign.

IMI Chief Financial Officer Simon James, Stephen Keem and Barry Williams from the Members and Product Services department, will be pounding London’s roads for 26.2 miles to help raise funds for the charity.

James is a battle hardened veteran of three marathons, while Keem and Williams are running their first – what could possibly go wrong. But why put themselves through the struggle and torcher?

BEN is an integral part of the automotive industry, providing help and support to employees and dependants and, in doing so, add value to individuals, businesses and the sector in general.

So whether you work on the shop floor or the top floor, in a factory, garage, office, showroom or on the road, if you’re one of the 800,000 people working in automotive in the UK, then BEN is here for you and your family.

The training has long since started and the miles are increasing on the training runs, the time investment set against family and work lives has been occasion tricky, but all three are getting ready for the start line on the 26th April.

James, Keem and Williams challenge forms part of the IMI’s 100th anniversary celebrations, as the institute aims to raise £100,000 for BEN over the course of 2020.

If you can donate, no matter how much, please do
