There are not too many bigger, or more vocal, advocates of the independent garage sector than Stuart. Indeed, if he were not the director of a body specifically designated to further its interests then he would have probably missed his vocation – and the independent sector would definitely have missed one of its most ardent cheerleaders.

Having worked as a motor vehicle technician, auto electrician, workshop controller, reception engineer and service manager, I went into the educational side of the motor trade in 1986 determined to make a difference. With my previous experience you could say that vehicle technology was in my blood - not just cars but HGVs also!
